it’s a discipleship program at its core. Our heart is to walk with young men spiritually and vocationally, equipping them with a skill and pointing them to Jesus, the Master Craftsman of our lives.
In rural Honduras, public education is only free through 6th grade, and most teenage boys are forced to drop out. Opportunities beyond elementary school are rare, and many young men feel stuck — without direction, skills, or guidance. El Taller del Maestro exists to change that story.
Each week, a small group of boys comes to Blossom Creek to learn welding from Leonardo. They’re taught how to safely use a welding machine, how to cut and join metal, and how to create practical, meaningful projects with their own hands. But more importantly, every class includes Bible study and intentional mentoring — moments where we speak into their identity, value, and purpose in Christ.
We want each of these young men to understand that they are God’s workmanship — like a piece of metal in the hands of a skilled craftsman, God is shaping and forming them with love and intention.
This ministry reflects Blossom Creek’s heart: to cultivate a deep and intimate love for Jesus through education, employment, and sustainability. As these young men grow into capable, God-honoring men, they help build a stronger community, rooted in Christ.
Follow along as these young men learn to weld and walk with the Master Craftsman.
